The fruit for this wine was selected from a premium cool climate vineyard in the Orange region of NSW sitting at 900 metres altitude. The grapes were handpicked and immediately transported to our winery in Pokolbin where it was gently whole bunch pressed. The juice was then allowed to cold settle before being put to older french oak barriques. Fermentation was undertaken at cool to moderate temperatures and the wine matured in the oak barriques for 5 months before being lightly fined, filtered and bottled.
The 2015 vintage could best be described as a textbook vintage in the Orange wine region. A cold winter with ample rainfall made way for a warm and dry spring, the grapes ripened nicely, disease was not an issue, things happened in a fairly orderly fashion and quality was very good.

Citrus lime and lemongrass, with hints of talc and notes of pear and apple.
A fresh and textured palate with flavours of pear and green apple with great minerality and powerful citrus acidity.
