Our group of 4 visited Audrey Wilkinson for some wine tasting. We had a fantastic tasting with Simon who taught us all a new thing or two about wines and made sure to find out what each of us really like.

I was given a redballon experience here for Christmas, so I wasn’t too sure what to expect. First of all this was my first time here and I will say this was one of the most scenic and gorgeous vineyards I’ve seen in the Hunter Valley. My experience started with a champagne on arrival followed by a 1hr wine tasting experience. Bev looked after us and another couple and she was lovely, and knowledgeable. The tasting followed a picnic, where you get a blanket and can find a spot anywhere you like in the vineyard and sit and eat some cheeses and deli meats, and a wine of your choice. It’s was a wonderful day and everything I had was delicious. I highly recommend this place and I will definitely be coming back.

What an exceptional winery and so well worth a visit. The cellar door is sited overlooking the vines in a valley and just taking in the breathtaking views is wonderful. We were warmly hosted by Bev and taken through the range of wines on offer. The winemakers selection is exquisite and refined. The Vin de Vie is also a unique offering that is not available anywhere else in the Hunter.

We only visited the cellar door, not the accommodation. Great staff (thank you David!) and we bought the Malbec (spectacular) and the Tempranillo, and a couple of others. The 2019 Semillon release is delicious. The best venue to start your wine tour as it has a beautiful vista around the valley, great photography spot.

Taste a few wines. Grab a bottle. Crack that bottle. Sit on the deck looking over the beautiful vista and drink that bottle. What's not to like?

We went to the museum area and a guy approached us and told us to try the wines like he was not one bit interested to share some history about the family. Secondly the wine tasting was 5$. The 5$ each is not a problem , but it is a bit of a scam. This place is the first winery in the Hunter and over 150 years old . It's not like they have a mortgage on the place. I just hope no one else follows suit and starts charging money because it will choke the area a bit. Imagine walking in to a place with a group and paying 5$ for wine tasting. You need to start putting those 5$ away. We ended up paying for the wine because we were either going to buy a bottle for 30$ or pay 10$ for tasting. Call it what you want it's a scam

Shout out to Donald who was extremely kind and explained to us about how the sweetness in the wines corresponds to the amount of yeast in it! Wine was really good too and the view is amazing, would definitely recommend but would be hard to get a ride back if you didn’t drive.

Yes you can’t deny Audrey Wilkinson winery has amazing views, however as soon as we wanted to wine taste we were extremely disappointed to see very unwelcoming staff. Not one staff member gave us eye contact, not one looked up at us…essentially we were completely ignored. We were standing right in front of the wine tasting area (for about 15 mins) and we were not acknowledged. At the end of the day, we were customers, having travelled a long way and we were willing to make a purchase. We walked away unable to taste any of the wine from this place today, which is extremely disappointing since it is one of the oldest wineries in the region and we did expect a higher standard of hospitality. However, we were very happy & grateful to find Scarborough Wines (which we highly recommend). We had the complete opposite experience at Scarborough, the staff there acknowledge you, very friendly + welcoming & amazing wines!

Firstly I'd like to say this winery is in a beautiful location atop a hill with a fantastic view. If only for that, it's well worth it. I've been here many times before and always enjoyed the view and the wines.Unfortunately, our last sit-down premium selection wine tasting was marred by a 20+ Group of Indians who insisted on carrying on like a pack of drunken teenagers at a McDonald's party. A screeching rendition of 'Happy Birthday' was attempted no less than ten times in the span of half an hour, to the point we couldn't even hear what our wine presenter was saying. I like a celebration as much as anyone, but a boutique winery isn't the place to behave like a drunken football team to the detriment of all other visitors. Shame on the otherwise great staff for letting this go on for the best part of an hour taking their amazing establishment down to the level of an Irish pub at 4 am.

The oldest winery in the region, it has some amazing history and is situated with incredible views! Well worth packing a picnic and bringing it here to sit on the lawn for a lazy lunch with friends or family ☺️ In my humble opinion, the wine to enjoy with your picnic would have to be the Sem Sav🥂😄

I'd say a 5/5 for view, and a 4/5 for service. The staff member we had wasn't great, and it felt a bit impersonal. However, the view is absolutely stunning and worth the trip!

An experience I'd never forget. From arrival, wine tasting to.picnic and a breathe taking view....wow!! Worth every minute you spend up there. Lovely services, food was awesome. And thank you Bev.

My husband and I were there today. We noticed once we got inside, one of the guys working at the counter gave us the unwelcome look. But anyway we went to the counter and this young lady was helping us with the wine tasting. The service from her was okay. She wasn’t enthused of explaining the wines to us. We didn’t really enjoy the wine tasting at this place. But we went somewhere else around there, they gave us excellent services and they made a lot of sales from us. Since the service is terrible, we didn’t buy anything from them. This will be our last time going there and will not recommend to anyone.

We came here for a wine tasting. Daniel, the staff who was looking after us was great what he does. Gave us so much informations about all the wines and also recommended a few food places to eat around the area. We received great customer service from him and definitely recommend everyone to try this place. The wines were absolutely fantastic and delicious.

We came on Thursday, 3rd January 2019. We only wanted to try their sweet wines.Atmosphere: the outside was very beautiful. You can see the vineyards and just gorgeous view. The inside was a bit chaotic. Too many people, had to wait until there was a spot on the tasting table. Staff: Nice but very busy so didn’t have as much time to engage.Price: Their Moscato is $30/bottle more expensive than the other places that we went to.

We had such an amazing experience. We did a tasting with Sarah and she was fantastic - was so confident with her wine knowledge and suggested wines after listening to our preferences. Would 100% recommend doing a tasting or the full experience with the picnic. Special shoutout to Sarah!

Great views, service and vines. Well worth a visit. You will need to be a bit patient as there may be a lot of people waiting to do the vine tasting. I would recommend taking a few minutes and going through the museum.

Beautiful winery. We spent near to 3 hours thanks to this beautiful lady, I think her name is Bec. She was so humble and down to earth. Took effort in explaining things properly, seeing that service itself made us go for the $10 wine range for tasting. At the end we bought heaps of wine. Maybe all the ladies are good but since we were served by Bec thus the review on Bec only. Try a dessert semillon a very sweet and beautiful one. Temparillino, Cuvee Rouge another good one.
